Reach, Stuttgart

When I travel alone to major cities, I want to immediately get out and explore, so I usually just walk around the area where I am staying. Soon as I arrived in Stuttgart, I left my bags in my hotel room and walked around the area where my hotel was located. There was, admittedly, not much to see, but this building did catch my eye. It is a couple of blocks from an expressway and there were hillside grapevines behind the high speed corridors. Who knew that Stuttgart is surrounded by often steep, hillside vineyards that somehow blend into the urban region?

Anyway, this building’s sharply curved form, its hard angled surfaces with fluid patterns that contrasted and highlighted the swirling clouds? How could I resist taking a couple of pictures of this otherwise utilitarian office building?
