Hello San Francisco, Chinatown
I was unable to go to the 2018 Chinese New Year’s Parade in San Francisco (SF), but the next day I went to The City and strolled around Chinatown for a bit.
While on Grant Avenue, which is the more touristy, souvenir shop-filled central street of SF’s Chinatown, I saw this shop. I was attracted to the sign, of course, and the colors and shapes, but what struck me was that there was not one human in sight, not for the couple of minutes that gave me the chance to capture several photos (just in case). Given the street’s popularity and the fact it was a Sunday, I was pleasantly surprised I was able to get a moment’s respite from the crowds.
Maybe everyone was pooped from all the fun of the Chinese New Year’s Parade the day before?
